PTO Meeting Minutes 2/17/2026
Call To Order: Meeting was called to order by President Andrew Sharp at 6:31 PM.
Treasurer Report: Full report posted. Current balance is $9,220.98
New Business:

A new spirit day was proposed at the Music Valley Antique Mall on Saturday April 18th by the generosity of a Pennington pto parent. The motion was moved, seconded, and passed unanimously.

Rivergate Skate Spirit Night will be held on Wednesday, April 8th.

The proposed changes to the newly implemented physical activity law was discussed to advocate for no changes. The link is posted in the meeting slides. Contact your representatives easily at sayyestorecess.com/tennessee

Teacher Appreciation week will be May 4th through the 8th. Preliminary discussions were begun on ideas and possible donations for the week of celebration of the teachers and staff at Pennington.

Discussions of the need for the 3 mandated PTO board for next school year. The needs, duties, and nomination and election process were discussed.

Several questions were posed by members and answered by Principal Gonzalez.
