About

Mission

The purpose of the Parent Teacher Organization is to enhance and support the educational experience at Pennington Elementary School, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement, and to improve the environment at PES through volunteer and financial support.

2022-2023 Accomplishments

  • Hosted a "Let's Glow Crazy" school dance with record attendance.
  • Gifted 5th grade a customized class t-shirt.
  • Hosted a School Spirit Skate Night.
  • Enjoyed lots of yummy spirit nights at area restaurants.
  • Spoiled our staff with a great Teacher Appreciation Week.
  • Gifted beloved Ms. Kinzer thoughtful retirement gifts to thank her for 9 years as our Principal.
  • Provided volunteer assistance to school events like Field Day & Book Fair.

Look for flyers and follow our social media to find out about our upcoming Spirit Nights! These are easy ways to raise money for the PTO by dining at the restaurant on a specific day!

We also host events like school dances, and support school sponsored events by volunteering.

Common Questions

Do I have to be a member to attend meetings or events?

No. Membership is required to vote on business during a PTO meeting. Each member family is able to cast 1 vote.

When should I join the PTO?

It doesn't matter if it's your first month at Pennington or your last year it's never too early or too late to join the PTO and help support Pennington!

What if I can't make a meeting?

Miss a meeting? Don't fret just make it to the next. We'll share updates about what the meeting discussed so read our updates and follow our social media and you'll be in the know for the next meeting.

May Children Attend Meetings?

Children may attend if needed. We don't not have a separate area or activity for children so please bring a quiet activity for them.

How can I stay up to date?

You can follow us on Instagram, join our Facebook group, join our Remind "class" for text message or app updates, and subscribe to our website news by email.

How can I support the PTO?

Become a member!
Attend our meetings.
Go to our events.
Register for shopping rewards to earn the PTO funds at no cost to you!

How can I donate to the PTO?

The PTO is able to accept direct donations online and via check. We also welcome in-kind donations of goods, vouchers, and coupons. At times we also have sponsorship opportunities, contact us to learn more.
