October 2023 Meeting

Call to Order: Meeting Called to order at 6:33 by President Andrew Sharp 

Old Business: 

  • Previous minutes read accepted, moved, 2nd, voted, approved.
  • Treasure report presented, moved, 2nd, voted accepted. Balance as of October 17, 2023 is $1557.30. 
  • Custodian appreciation day we spent $41.37. 
  • Membership is currently 19 families. 
  • $295.69 received in direct donations.

New Business: 

Upcoming Expenses Projected Balance with incoming deposits is $2,713.57. 

  • School Dance 
  • Small appreciation surprises for staff 
  • Appreciation lunch 
  • Appreciation Holiday gifts 

Upcoming Income for 2023 

  • Kroger Rewards approx $400 
  • Dance Ticket sales goal is $1000 proceeds to support the Spring Dia De Los Ninos Day. 

Event Recap 

  • Spirit Wear sold 180 items for a profit of $389.77. Items will be delivered to the school, sorted by PTO board and sent home via homeroom teachers with the student. There will be a call out to let guardians to be on the lookout. 
  • Play Dates upcoming 10/21 and 11/11. Color coded by grade name tags will be given out at the event. Located on the playground. Chick-Fil-A spirit day total sales were $1855 and we received a $371 check and $250 in food donation credit that will be used for the teachers.
  • Teacher Dance, On the PD day before break President Andrew set up and D.J.’d in the cafeteria for the teachers to have their own dance party.

Upcoming Dance 

  • Last year the PTO spent $327.49. President Andrew proposed a budget of $400 this year to be spent as needed. 
  • Drop off tickets will be sold starting 10/28 Kirstin Sharp proposed offering to PTO families first and then everyone on a first come first serve basis. There will be a limited number of these tickets. The cost is $25 per family. 
  • General admission tickets pre sale will be $5 per family before 11/10. After 11/10 the price goes to $10 per family. Flyers will go home on 10/30. 
  • We need  to fill about 30 adult volunteer shifts, proposed to have a few 5th graders help as well. 
  • Students will need to follow regular school rules regarding phones.
  • Library will be ADULTS only to rest and relax. 
  • Roped off area will be for the youngest students to dance. Photo Booth/ Photo Opp will be set up
  • There will be a Facebook post about the items needed/loaned for the dance.

  • No Students on 10/27 Parent Teacher Conferences 
  • Veteran’s Day 11/10 
  • Next PTO meeting 11/14
